Harlot - St. Paul
Well - hopefully I am the first of the MANY blog entries that you will read concerning the adventures of the Harlot’s visit to St. Paul - here’s my story (no celebrity reader available):
I was kind of obsessed with the whole parking issue in St. Paul as I did not have a great experience the week before when I attended a class at The Yarnery last week so I decided to park my car on Summit off Lexington at 4:10 and hoof it to the Pad Thai Cafe (1.25 miles away) and met a great group of knitters for dinner. I  did not take any pictures at the restaurant but you may see my evidence here or here. The food was great!Â
I hitched a ride over to the hall with Amy and Chris. There was a long line when we got there - about 1/2 of the 400 people must have arrived early for the 6 pm door opening. Here is a picture of the group when I arrived:
. The room was packed when everyone got there! I had a lot of fun talking with people in the room. I saw old friends and met many more! I am not even going to try to list them all - too many! The Harlot was great - I really enjoyed myself! I did not stick around for the signing though but here is a picture from my vantage point (about the middle of the room). I am very happy with the picture as my battery power on my camera is horrible but the amazing power of PhotoDraw “brighten” feature came to the rescue once again! I present…The Harlot:

I’m glad I got to see you at Willie Mitchell and you were tres brave to walk so far — it was freakin’ cold! I was wearing two turtlenecks, two sweaters, and long underwear. I got a little warm in the auditorium.
